Homecoming: A Success

Homecoming/Alumni Weekend at Prep was a great success! Thanks to God for watching over us, keeping me healthy, giving me tons of supportive help and physical labor! Those volunteers from prep are AMAZING! Thanks Ann, Maureen, John, and so many more!

I could write more and more! Check out the photos at www.lps.wels.net

God is good.

NOW: Onto preparing a presentation on social media for Oct. 8! Must get back to work and stop all this social media connecting!!!

This weekend: MLC Homecoming! I can't wait!

Just arrived back home from a MOST enjoyable vacation to a Prep girl friends house. JEN was the hostess with the mostest! WE TRULY relaxed every minute! We walked through historic Ridgefield, ate at the famous and newly rebuilt after a fire: Bissel House, took long walks, sat by her pool, talked, read LOTS of books, took pictures with Jen's new camera, played with Shelby - the cutest lab/golden retriever puppy ever!, made supper for David her hubby one night, more sitting by the pool and reading, more walking, more talking! SO MUCH FUN... SO MUCH RELAXING.

I now feel everyone should take mini vacations! It's absolutely life altering every little one I go on. THIS ONE WAS SO great!

THANKS JEN!

VACATION

I leave for vacation - a get away to a best buddy Jen's house in CT! I am leaving on a jet plane! Up at 3am to leave by 3:30am! I am sooooo excited to fly and get away. Jen is so much fun to visit! THANKS JEN....... I'm missing the first week of school, but with all 4 in dorms and all 4 all settled, it's time for mom to play! Jen is the crazy friend on the lowest part of the picture! We're all PREP CLASSMATES - a bond of strength centered on our passion for Christ and sharing the Good News with others!

Today was Sextaner registration and orientation. What an exciting day at Luther Prep! The entire class of Sextaners walked under the bell tower following President Crass and Dean Dolan as the bell tower rang out. They walk INTO Prep under the chiro symbol - so as a class, Christ at the center and INTO the Prep family. They won't walk as a class under the ringing tower again till graduation when they'll walk out in the opposite direction ! VERY COOL DAY!

Summer '09

OK, I did three days of blogging and YIKES - got busy with life! Now, I'll try to begin again! The kids are all off to school. The 4th one moves into the dorms tonight. It's been the MOST amazing summer of chaos that I SOAKED UP and loved! A gift from God to have all 4 kids plus a summer son home - all 6 of us lived in my new 100 year old home. A mess it was, but wonderful to be together! The oldest turned 21, the youngest is going to be a Sophomore in HS at Prep. Hannah and Jake in the middle had big summers too - Hannah is going to be a Senior and just got her Senior pics taken, Jake worked with Josh and Matt and at the end of summer broke up with his 5 year girlfriend. WE LOVE MARA, but we are happy they have been honoest with their changing feelings. My sister Kathy (felgs afar blog) was here with family for 2 months and we SOOO enjoyed every minute of being together!

Life is filled with abundant blessings for me! Blessings transformed into more blessings for certain. Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Till the next post - Debbie

Day 3

So far a great morning! I'm making a list and hope to get lots done. Let's see what happens before 2pm when I work at Hardees!

11:37pm: got lots done, but as usual, not everything I wanted to. I am going to be content though with the things I DID get done and not stress about the ones I didn't AND... then go to bed NOW so I can be productive the next day. I know... it's common sense, but it's a still a goal I need review often!

Two great things that were little blessings today: 1. We got a remote for the living room TV.  That explains the silly picture of the day!  This is Jacob - my 2nd oldest son. He was a little excited that we now had a remote for an old living room TV! 2. I heard from a high school friend that I haven't talked to in almost 15 -20 years I bet. KIM - it was great to reconnect!

Day 2

Today was great!
  • Coffee with Dorlene, Beth, and Robin in my home.
  • Lawsuit Muffins and Christmas Blend Starbucks and the best conversations.
  • Afternoon Gala IV meeting with Judy.
  • Late afternoon with Hannah and Luke.
  • The evening alone to work on Prep things and pictures!
Thank you LuAnn for all the help in getting started. I'm thankful for all you share.

Day 1

This is the beginning of my PROJECT 365. I will be posting a picture of each day of the year (at least I will try). I am excited to chronicle the blessings God grants us!

HAPPY NEW YEAR from Corey, Jake, Luke, Lydia, Hannah, and Allie!
